Meridian Dam High ropes training

Meridian has given us access both internally and externally to the Aviemore Dam, Ohau B Dam and the Ruataniwha Control Gate. Members of Meridian's in-house rescue team will be joining us for part the time. We have some RATS who are going to be working through Rope Technician assessments while we are down there but otherwise we will be spending the time exercising a range of personal and stretcher based rescue skills.

 

We would have space for 2 ACR Team members on the trip if there is anyone keen to join us. The only things you would need to cover for the weekend would be the cost of accommodation/food (we'll be staying at the Rowing Complex in Twizel which is really affordable - catering included) + transport (although we may have a space in vehicle - I'm still finalising transport arrangements).

 

Once again, apologies for the short notice. We needed to fit the trip in around the maintenance schedule at each Dam, so dates were only finalised earlier this week.
