SAREX -Alpine Rescue SAREX at Mt Cook This year

ACR SAREX at Mt Cook This year and limited to 4 at this stage pending 6 peeps

The consensus was that the teams do see value in having a combined SAREX this year, so we are proceeding with planning for an event along these lines:

Dates:                   Friday 10 November to Sunday 12 November

Location:              Mt Cook – Malte Brun Pass area (conditions permitting)

Scenarios:           Multi-pitch rock rescue (Aiguilles Rouges), steep snow lowers, crevasse extraction, HETS (budget permitting)

We will likely need to limit numbers, but there will be a place for at least one team from each ACR team.  All crews will need to be more than competent in the terrain being accessed.  More details to follow later but, for now, save the date and start getting commitments to attend from your team members.
