RENDEZVOUS TOWER CHALLENGE

The Rendezvous Tower Challenge 2017 is for all levels of fitness. You don't need to be super fit to enter.
A big part of an event like this is the socialising. So before and after your climb, relax with your friends, family, and workmates. You can be competitive as you want or just cruise in your own style. This event is all about you racing at a pace that suits you and enjoying the morning out.

THE COURSE

Starting from Level 2(Floor 1) and finishing on Level 20(Floor 19); 18 floors, 309 steps. You will be ascending clockwise and there is a handrail for assistance.

VENUE

This event will run from the Rendezvous Hotel Christchurch car park located on Level 2(Floor 1). The entrance to the car park is from Gloucester Street via the vehicle access ramp.

RACE SCHEDULE

Saturday, 8th April 2017.

0800 Check-in opens.

0900 Briefing.

0930 Start.

1130 Prize Giving.

CATEGORIES

Athletic - classed as a timed competitive entrant.

Firefighter - this is for firefighters who choose to complete the climb as a timed competitive entrant with breathing apparatus donned (not started) and full Level-2 structure protective clothing.

TEAMS

A team consists of four team members of which you will all start within the same wave time (but do not have to all finish at the same time). You can enter as a team in the Athletic OR Firefighter category - not both. A team's time is an aggregate of all four team members.

MEDALS & PRIZES

Category winners; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place competitors in each category will each be awarded a medal.

FIRST AID

St John will be providing first aid for this event. This will include a Paramedic.
