UPDATED PLAN for weekend Thursday night
Sorry for delay getting this out, Just been sorting the ACR call out today. more details to come.
With heavy rain forcast for west, plan is to play in Castle Hill Basin area for weekend.
Saturday: Rough plan
Tracking line or offset line in castle hill rocks in the sun or cloudly skys hopefully.
Camp at Craigiburn/broken River camp area near creek saturday night.
Sunday:
Make a plan based on the WX of the day, maybe rock climbing at flock hill or something like that.
So plan is to leave on Saturday morning at 8am from Hornby Police station in police van and overflow in my car.
Text me or email me if any problems and maybe some car pooling will happen to get some of you to Hornby.
Maybe Zac and Chema call me or text me to discuss pickup for you and I can get you....

Desend into "Ti Tahi cave" and construct a senario to evacuate a patient from base of hole to surface via tripod and rope rescue system.
and rock climb at Bullock Creek or sea cliffs
TRANSPORT:
Police van via Paul Beaver and my landcrusier for overflow to leave of friday night.
Leave friday night after work around 5pm and I will make a pickup plan closer to the date most likley the day prior.
come home on sunday arvo/evening
ACCOM:
My Kumara Section on friday night ( brinf camp gear or hammocks) and then Sat night at Cave group hut in Charleston
Hut at Charleston details are:
at the camping ground corner turn east into Darkie Terrace. 1.5 km down the road there is a narrow road to the left. Travel slowly around the weird hairpin bend. First gate on the left is the Caving Base. Drive in -plenty of parking.

Solar lights. Gas hob. Long drop. Woodburner and wood. BBQ.
No shower. Either camp outside in tents or camp on the floor. 5 matresses and numerous swabs plus 2 pillows.
Plenty of tables, chairs, crockery, pots etc.
Big whiteboard. New 30m rope suspended in big pine tree underneath platform.
Door key pad is 1967.
Gear:
All your SRT and rigging gear, cave gear if you have.
Overalls, cave lamp etc! if you are keen to cave, if not then we lets the cavers go.
Sleeping bag and matteress for floor.
Rock climbing gear for sea cliffs/ Bullock Creek as we have time for trip to rock climb on sunday.
Food:
Bring all food for what you need, maybe we eat at pub on sat night too.
BBQ at the hut site so we can cook up.
PLAN:
Rope rescue training pre summer for cave extractions and general rock climbing trip to Charleston area.
Tripod setup and extraction from the cave entrance( Yann P to advise us further)
Rock Climbing if WX permitting on the sunday before we head home.
